Portland's Dive Team covers 23.41 sq. miles of town with numerous lakes, ponds and quarries. There is approx. 7 miles of CT River coastline that we cover with neighboring towns. We started a team in 1995 and now have 12 certified PSD's through Lifequard Systems, 10 Fire Dept. and 2 Police Officers. Six divers are equipped with Aga pp ffm with comm. four dry suit divers, and all divers are a minimum of advanced open water. With the Mutual Aid agreement with surrounding towns, we will travel when and wherever needed.
