
| 1. Air on, check tank pressure. |
| 2. If J-valve is used lever should be up. |
| 3. Regulator functioning properly have diver inhale and exhale through both second stages. |
| 4. Regulator over right shoulder. |
| 5. Safe second secured. |
| 6. Tank secure in pack at right height. |
| 7. If pony bottle is used is it ready for operation? |
| 8. Straps untwisted and secure? |
| 9. Buoyancy compensator adjusted so won't ride up. |
| 10. BCD waist release opening to left. |
| 11. Weight belt buckle positioned in center with right hand release. |
| 12. Weights even for balance. |
| 13. No excessive strap lengths. |
| 14. Weights belt clear for ditching? |
| 15. Diver has 2 balloon marker buoys in BC pocket. |
| 16. Diver has whistle. |
| 17. Diver has 30 to 50 feet of 1/8 inch line in BC pocket. |
| 18. Mask treated for anti-fogging. |
